Corporate Massage – Inviting Wellness into the Workplace
Why Massage in the workplace?
In a nutshell – to support colleagues and employees to:
~ Reduce Stress ~ Ease Muscle Tension ~ Enhance Moral ~ & Boost Immune Systems ~
We are all aware that a happy healthy workplace is a more productive one – but there is no getting around it – sometimes the pressure is high and the office can become a stressful environment.
Stress is a leading cause of short and long term ill health, both physically as well as psychologically, and therefore it is something we would all like to keep to a minimum so that we do not experience adverse affects.
There are many ways of enhancing wellness at work such as away days and work socials, or running sessions such as meditation or walking groups.
Massage is another fantastic tool to support the body and mind and reduce stress.
What does Corporate Massage look like?
There are a few logistics to consider when bringing massage to your office such as where the massage will be given, how regularly you would like to offer this to the work force and who will be paying for the treatments.
Chair Massage *Recommended
For this option I will bring an ergonomic massage chair to your workspace. The chair allows me to access the whole of the recipient’s back, shoulders, neck and head to offer a comprehensive massage to reduce tension and alleviate aches and pains.
These massages can be booked for 10, 15 or 20 minute sessions.
The person remains fully clothed – although it is advised to remove bulkier items such as large jumpers or jackets.
I will need an area of roughly 3ft x 5ft for the massage to take place. No separate room is required.

Desk Massage
This massage takes place where the staff member is working at their desk.
I will require space to access the person’s upper back, shoulders and neck.
Please note ~ some very high backed chairs with arms will not be possible to work around, so please consider if this option is viable in your workspace.
These massages can be booked for 10 minute sessions.
The person remains fully clothed – although it is advised to remove bulkier items such as large jumpers or jackets.

Table Massage
This is a more comprehensive experience of a 30 min (back and shoulder) or 45 min (full body) massage with oil, performed with the recipient lying on the massage table.
I also offer craniosacral therapy where no oil is used and the person remains fully clothed.
For this option I will set my massage table up in a private space (meeting room/ office).

Accessibility
Staff members who are unable to use the massage chair, or whose medical conditions will not allow me to work on their shoulders and back in the traditional way, will not necessarily miss out on the opportunity to experience massage. Please speak to me about adaptations and specific needs when booking.

Hand and arm massages are a great option for people who do not wish to have a back massage – it’s amazing how much tension we hold in this area!
Indian Head Massage is a wonderfully calming treatment that is performed on the scalp, head and tissues on the neck upper back, arms and face and is able to be completed in an office chair or wheelchair.
